We are pleased to share our firm’s involvement in another major transaction in Cyprus, having advised shareholders of Universal Life in connection with the proposed joint venture with Alpha Bank. This transaction will result in the creation of one of the top three insurance groups in the Cypriot market.
This instruction is the latest in a series of transactions in the Cypriot insurance sector on which our firm has recently advised, having previously advised CNP in relation to the sale of its Cypriot operations to Eurobank Ltd, and CVC on the sale of the Cypriot business of Ethniki Insurance to Bank of Cyprus.
